چکیده
The key to achieving sustainable development lies in reducing waste, valorizing and adopting conscious consumption. This study aimed evaluate the potential of two by-products from cork industry as natural dyes for textiles. Specifically, cork-cooking wastewater expanded black condensate were tested eco-friendly coloring agents dye cotton (both organic with a surface treatment) wool. After dyeing, colored fabric samples subjected washing hot cold water, well light exposure, assess color fastness. assessment at end was performed using ΔE*, which is parameter that quantifies magnitude difference, comparing L*a*b* coordinates CIELAB system dyed those control sample. ΔE* (>5) showed that, all cases, exhibited different controls. However, best performance achieved wool samples, resulting uniform dark brown (ΔE* = 42.48 ± 0.19). Additionally, cationized an interesting brownish-grey hue (ΔE * 35.02 0.42), indicating treatment promoted fixation, since only 14.52 0.39) less resistant exposure. Natural dyeing extract presents sustainable, eco-friendly, non-toxic alternative textile dyeing. Furthermore, observed bacteriostatic effect indicates producing functionalized textiles great interest medical applications. process results unique earthy tones while promoting use resources preserving environment.

متن کاملOxidized Xanthan Gum and Chitosan as Natural Adhesives for Cork
Natural cork stopper manufacturing produces a significant amount of cork waste, which is granulated and combined with synthetic glues for use in a wide range of applications. There is a high demand for using biosourced polymers in these composite materials. In this study, xanthan gum (XG) and chitosan (CS) were investigated as possible natural binders for cork. Xanthan gum was oxidized at two d...

BACKGROUND In addition to energy benefits, anaerobic digestion offers other interesting advantages. The cork industry is of great environmental, economic and social significance in the western Mediterranean region, with Portugal being the world-leading producer and exporter. Cork boiling wastewater (CBW) is a toxic and recalcitrant organic effluent produced by this sector, which constitutes a s...
